School is out and Junior Golf Season is in at HDCC. Take a look below to see all the awesome Junior Golf Programs we are offering at HDCC this summer. Golf Camps, Golf Leagues, Parent Child Scrambles and a whole bunch more should keep the kids busy at the course this summer. Bogey’s Bar & Grill
Next time through the course, make sure you stop by Bogey’s Bar & Grill for a drink or a bite to eat. Our new menu is getting rave reviews, so check it out. Don’t forget that Bogey’s is open to the public. We are currently running specials during the week. Stop by and say ‘Hi’ to the girls and kick back and enjoy the game on one of our big screen TVs.
Senior Scramble, Ladies and Couples Golf Leagues
Heather Downs will be hosting three great leagues for seniors, ladies and couples this season. The HDCC Senior Scramble is held on Monday mornings at 9:30am. The format will change from week to week and include shambles and scrambles. The cost is only $30/week. Bring a friend or come on your own. We’ll pair you up. The HDCC Ladies League is held every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 6pm. This league is a fun ‘Girls Night Out’. The format rotates between stroke play and scrambles. This league is also perfect for busy ladies in that it is ‘Pay as you Play’. No need to commit, just show up whenever you can. The cost is $25 which includes golf, cart and prizes. The HDCC ‘Nine & Dine’ Couples League tees off every Sunday at 4pm and Monday at 6pm. This league is also ‘Pay as you Play’. Just show up when you and your significant other feel like playing and join other couples for a round of golf and a bite to eat afterwards. The format changes from week to week and will include stroke play, match play, scrambles, shambles, scotch twosomes and more. The cost is $50/couple each week which includes green fees, carts. Twilight Golf
Now that the days are getting longer, make it over to Heather Downs for Twilight Golf seven days a week. This weekend, get out on Saturday, Sunday or Monday after 5pm for $20 all you can play walking and $28 all you can play riding. Tuesday thru Thursday, twilight starts after 6pm and Friday after 5pm. Enjoy $17 all you can play walking, and for $25, all you can play riding. No need for a tee time during Twilight Golf. Just show up and 1st come, 1st serve. We look forward to seeing you this week.
Golf Outings
Prime dates and times are still available for 2023 golf outings. If you are interested in hosting a company or group outing this season, Heather Downs is ‘Where You Belong’. We offer one of the best golf courses in town, a beautiful clubhouse and banquet facility, and the staff and know how to make your event, one to remember. Free Junior Golf Clinic this Saturday May 27th
Heather Downs will be hosting a Free Junior Golf Clinic on Saturday, May 27th for all junior golfers in the area. This clinic will include lessons on putting, chipping, the irons and the driver. Juniors age 10 and under will meet from 9am-10:30, ages 11 and older will meet from 11am-12:30. Instruction will be led by PGA Director of Golf, Dan Sutton and Assistant Professional, Darren Axon. Although this clinic is free, please call the pro shop to register at 419-385-0248.
Summer Golf Camps
Heather Downs will be hosting four Junior Golf Camps this summer. Our first Junior Golf Camp will be held Mon. June 5th-Thur. June 8th. The next Junior Camp is scheduled for June 19th-22nd. This clinic will include lessons on putting, chipping, the irons and the driver. Juniors age 10 and under will meet from 9am-10:30am and ages 11 and older will meet from 11:00am-12:30pm. The dates of the two other Summer Junior Golf Camps will be July 10th-13th and July 24th-July 27th. For busy parents who can’t make it over here during the week, HDCC offers the Junior Golf Academy which is a Saturday clinic which runs Sat. June 3rd-June 24th and Sat. July 8th-July 29th. The cost for the four week clinic is $100.
HDCC Junior Golf League
For juniors looking for playing opportunities, Heather Downs will be hosting the Junior Golf League which will play on Wednesdays at 11am starting May 31st. The HDCC Junior League is a ‘Pay as you Play’ league. Just show up any Wednesday morning, pay $20, and you get a bag of range balls, 9 holes and plenty of prizes.
Parent Child Scrambles
For parents and grandparents, we offer the Parent-Child Scramble on the 1st Sunday of each month at 4pm. Our next Scramble of the season is Sunday, June 4th. Driving Range Specials
Heather Downs is once again offering unlimited range balls for $18, seven days a week before 12pm this season. Come over and work on your game at our practice facilities. Our putting green, chipping green, sand trap and range tee are in good shape and make for an ideal location to groove your swing. Grab a buddy and make it out for ‘All You Can Hit’.
This year, we are offering two Range Cards for those of you who hit balls on a regular basis. Stop by the pro shop and pick one up the next time you are at the course.
Birdie Card-Pay $112, get $140 in range ball credit.
Eagle Card-Pay $210, get $280 in range ball credit.
Ladies and Adult Golf Academy
Heather Downs is offering the several new golf clinics this season. The Ladies Golf Academy is set to tee off on Tuesday, May 30th and the Adult Golf Academy is scheduled for Monday May 29th. Each Academy is a seven week program which includes four weeks of instruction, one on-course playing lesson and two 9 hole rounds. During the Academy, instruction will include lessons on the woods, iron play, short game, chipping, putting, sand shots, the rules of golf and golf course etiquette.
