Heather Downs Country Club – Rain Check Policy

At Heather Downs, we make every effort to provide a full and enjoyable round of golf. However, due to the nature of outdoor play, weather conditions may occasionally disrupt your round. Please review our official rain check policy below:

✅ When Rain Checks *Are* Issued:

- Rain checks will be granted only if the golf course is officially closed by management due to inclement weather (e.g., heavy rain, lightning, unplayable conditions).

- Rain checks will be prorated based on the number of holes not completed. Example: If 6 holes are completed before a rainout, a 12-hole rain check will be issued.

❌ When Rain Checks *Are Not* Issued:

- Twilight Rounds (After 6:00 PM): No rain checks will be issued for any twilight or evening rounds regardless of the number of holes completed.

- Rain Delays (Course Remains Open): If the course remains open and a temporary delay iscalled (e.g., for lightning or passing rain), no rain checks will be issued for players who choose to leave during the delay.

- Player Elects to Leave: If a player chooses to leave while the course is still open, no rain check will be issued.

- Discounted, Promotional, or Comped Rounds: Rain checks will not be issued for the following:

• Rounds booked using a Tee Time Passbook, Cumulus Card, or Gift Card
• Free or donated foursomes
• Special promotions or heavily discounted rounds

- Darkness: Rain checks will not be granted due to nightfall or darkness.

🔁 Important Notes:

- Rain checks are issued in dollar value or hole-based credit and may be applied to a future round.

- Rain checks must be presented at time of redemption and are non-transferable and not redeemable for cash.

- Management’s decision to close the course is final and made with player safety and course conditions in mind.
