Junior Golf Instruction & Leagues
At Heather Downs Country Club, junior golfers have the opportunity to participate in several programs in 2021. Choose from four golf leagues which include the PGA Jr. League, the Spring Intramural League, the Summer High School League and the Junior Golf League. All ages are encouraged to get involved and play in one or more leagues during the season.
Instructional clinics are offered from spring until fall. Two free clinics are scheduled in the spring to give youngsters the chance to come out and test their abilities. The Spring Junior Academy, the Summer Junior Golf Camps, the Summer Junior Golf Academy and the Fall Junior Camp are the perfect chance to learn the basic fundamental and proper swing mechanics in a group setting. The focus of the instruction will be the driver, iron play, chipping and putting. The rules of golf will be covered as well as golf course etiquette.
PGA Director of Golf, Dan Sutton and Assistant Golf Professional, Darren Axon will lead the instruction and allow the juniors to learn and progress at their own pace. Each and every golfer will build a good foundation of swing mechanics, learn how to practice properly and understand how much fun golf can be.

- Open to all junior golfers in the area. Every Wednesday at 11am starting June 2nd. $15 ‘Pay as You Play’ gets your child a 9 hole green fee, a bucket of range balls and prizes.
